Jewelry Design
While much of my professional graphic and Web design work was located in my Karl Designs website, or posted in portfolio sites, such as BeHance, I wanted to create a page that presents my Jewelry Design. I am experimenting with various designs of beaded jewelry, some as crochet beaded rope designs, either smooth or coiled, and some created with crochet techniques with the body of the piece out of leather, Genya cord, cotton or waxed cotton.
I have designed jewelry using metalsmithing in the past, using cut and pounded silver, and soldered bezel work, and we shall see if I go there again. Friends have been encouraging me to start up an Etsy account and sell my current pieces online, and possibly on an EBay account. This all started as a way to make beautiful Christmas presents and was for fun; now I'm "hooked." I never sleep, in case you were wondering.
Now, a few of my pieces are for sale at Bella Beads in Cannery Row, Monterey.
